Listed by Khalil El-Ghoul, 528 Nelson Dr NE is the third most expensive resale home ever in 22180. The home features just under 5,000 sq ft of interior space and a 2 car garage. With nearly $500/sf, Nelson sold for $2,400,000 which was over the appraised value. Other agents quoted our sellers for $2.25-$2.3 million.

9904 Timmark Ct

Similarly, 9904 Timmark sold for $40,000 over asking price pre-market. This was $200k more than anything in the community has ever sold for.

9721 Cheriton Ct

9721 Cheriton sold in September of 2020 for $955,000. In this unique case, the sellers were unexpectedly relocated and had to sell only 6 months later. In an effort to increase the value of this already gorgeous home, we decided to change the countertops, replaced the upstairs carpet with laminate, new appliances and backsplash, and painted a few rooms. The effort certainly paid off as we are now under contract for $1,075,000!

In a similar situation, 2132 Statute Lane sold for $760,000 in February 2020 but the couple later decided to move out west as their jobs were not virtual. We painted the entire house, installed new backsplash, removed carpet, refinished the floors, and staged the home. This year, Khalil El-Ghoul also had the opportunity to represent his children’s school, Green Hedges, with the purchase of 206 Lewis. After the sale of this property, Khalil donated 100% of his commission back to the school, which was over $20,000. That money went to the school’s Diversity Fund that provides lower income students with grants for all non-covered school expenses.
