Step 1: Find Your Lot

Building your own home can be overwhelming. K Hovnanian Homes created the Build On Your Own Lot process for homebuilders. K Hovnanian allows home buyers to match one of their unique home designs with an equally unique piece of land. 

Step 2: Design Your Home

The K Hovnanian Design Studio allows homebuyers to browse through their extensive gallery of home designs and find the design that reflects their personal taste and budget. Prospective homebuyers can also take tours through fully decorated model homes to get an idea of what they want. Once you have selected your design you will have a New Home Consultant assigned to you who will work with you to finish up each detail of your new home.

Step 3: Meeting

This third step consists only of a meeting between you and the K Hovnanian consultant to thoroughly look at your selected piece of land and determine the specifications of your home. During this meeting, you will finalize all your color choices and options and will receive the final cost of your home and the purchase agreements. 

Step 4: Lender

Financing a home is never fun. However, K Hovnanian has preferred lenders that will guide you through the process of financing your new home making the procedure less stressful. 

Step 5: Building Your New Home

Once all the options, color schemes, and financing have been finalized it is time to break ground. The K Hovnanian builders build your home from the ground up following all your personal selections.

Step 6: Welcome Home

The final step of the building process is the day you have been waiting on. Your dream home is complete and it’s time to enjoy everything it has to offer.
