The park is the site of the first Civil War engagement in Loudon County, the Battle of Ball’s Bluff, and is home to a national cemetery. Guided tours and living history events are also offered at the park.

With 350 acres of outdoor entertainment, Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton offers hours of fun for every age.
Stroll the waterfront plaza or cruise the 5k loop around the park. Get your swing on at the batting cages, rent a canoe, boat, or kayak, and spend the afternoon on the river. The park provides visitors with a perfect afternoon of fishing from the Occoquan shoreline - the river is home to largemouth bass, white perch, catfish, and more.
