This is likely your last chance to check out the home before you go to settlement. Make sure the excitement of moving in doesn't overshadow a thorough walk through.
What To Look For During The Final Walk Through
Make sure all of the seller’s belongings and debris are removed from the home.
The home usually needs to be “broom swept clean”.
Did the seller make the repairs agreed to during the home inspection contingency?
Ensure all the ‘walkthrough’ items are still in normal working order. This includes appliances, plumbing, heating, air condition, and smoke detectors.
Look for damage that may have been caused during the move (broken doors, windows, and damaged walls are common when moving large furniture).
